How do you upgrade Autobots in Transformers: Age of Extinction?

The movie Transformers made me became a big fan of Autobots. They look so cool that I can't stop thinking what it'll be if I can control them. And now, my dream has come true !

TRANSFORMERS AGE OF EXTINCTION - The Official Game is based on the summer blockbuster film. This fast-paced 3D combat runner brings the experience of the movie to the palm of your hands. You control the Autobots as you defend humanity against the Decepticon assault on Earth. Bumblebee, Optimus Prime, Grimlock and more are at your command. That said, these tips will help rid the world of the Decepticon threat.

After playing a long time of the game, I had some walkthrough and tips for the game. Here goes part two:

For each mission you complete, you receive experience points for the Autobot you completed the mission with. The Autobot's Hit Point, Melee and Ranged stat increases with each level up.

Equipping the Autobot with new and better gear can also increase stats. Gear can be purchased through Cargo Packs. Cargo Packs can be purchased using the Energon Packs, which you receive as rewards for killing enemies and completing missions. The most common Energon is Blue. Green Energon Packs, however, are uncommon, and Rare Energon Packs (as the name implies) are rare. The rarer the packs used to buy Cargo, the better the gear. Gear can also be upgraded and leveled up using Energon Shards that you get after each mission. You can also buy Cyber Credits that can be used to acquire rare gear. Cyber Credits range in price from $0.99 to $99.99.
